not just a play house.

So it's been a while since I last wrote anything on here. Life just catches up with you sometimes, and it gets hectic and time consuming. Alas, it's bound to happen from time to time.
However, the fast pace and limited time of the recent weeks have got me day dreaming. (When I have a moment!) Day dreaming of escape, of the kind of escape you would plot as a child. The perfect answer comes to me again and again. Something dream like, but real, and possible, but neglected.
The Treehouse.

There are some beautiful treehouse creations dotted around the world, and each one, whether sleek and modern, or romantic and crooked, captures the imagination of every child, and if people are honest, the imagination of every adult too.

I would adore to have a little getaway above the ground, worked into nature. Somewhere to drink tea, to write, to hide away from the world below. Perfection no?
I don't understand why these creations are not more commonly viewed. And not the sheds for children in the odd back garden, but the real, livable treetop homes. We insist on knocking down the earth to build on top of the rubble. Why not build our homes from sustainable materials, and work it around the worlds greatest standing structures?
I think we've missed a trick here.
